The Amahl and the Night Visitors Bracelet is inspired by the traditional holiday season opera by Menotti. This piece makes a meaningful Christmas gift for opera fans.
The tale of the poor lame shepherd boy with the huge heart is a beloved Christmas classic.
I selected deep blue beads and iridescent glass stars to represent the holy night. A Christmas Star charm symbolizes Amahl's song "O Mother You Should Go Outside" imploring his mother to see the massive star that has appeared. The Magi charm indicates the night visitors, who we more frequently know as the three kings or wise men. The crutch charm symbolizes Amahl's only possible gift for the baby Jesus, as he offers it, he is healed of his affliction and accompanies the kings to give thanks!
All "Inspired By..." Series Bracelets come with a card that identifies the symbolism of the charms and colors used.
