Lessons from Il Trovatore (in opera-chronological order)
1. Before committing infanticide or executions, sit down, take a stress pill and really think things over. Count to 10. Breathe.
2. When meeting your lover in the dark: a flashlight, lantern or torch is always a good idea.
3. Dude she's just not that into you.
4. A Gypsy girl is always welcome (also see Carmen, Act 2)
5. Before making major life decisions (such as entering the convent) get confirmation on the details that brought you to this moment.
6.Never get involved with a Mama's Boy.
7. Make sure your poison is well timed.
8. Repeat #1.
