Part of the "Inspired by…" series, The Brunnhilde’s Awakening Bracelet celebrates final scene of Richard Wagner's opera Siegfried. Siegfried traverses the flames of the magic fire, bringing dawn and consciousness to the sleeping Brunnhilde: his destined bride. After some discussion, they welcome each other in exuberant joy, pledging “love that illumines, laughing at death”.
Beads and crystals the colors of the breaking dawn comprise this bracelet: golds, pinks and coppers. The illuminating love is symbolized by tiny star and heart shaped beads. A sun charm evokes Brunnhilde’s greeting to the sun and light after her long sleep. The entwined heart charm represents the passionate young lovers. The star charm indicates their vows to each live forever in the light of the other’s star.
