Norina is determined to marry the man she loves, Ernesto. She eagerly joins Dr. Malatesta's plot to teach Don Pasquale that young wives and old men are not a great fit. The rollicking plot of Donizetti's Don Pasquale is one of those special operas that keep a smile on your face.
I chose bright fuchsia beads to represent Norina's vibrant personality. Glass leaves, hearts and flowers evoke her beautiful love duet with Ernesto during their garden tryst. A heart charm represents their rendezvous. I thought this hand holding a heart charm perfectly represented Norina's aria “So anch'io la virtù magica” in which she describes her knowledge of the ways of love and men. A marriage license charm represents both the plot with Malatesta and her happy ending with Ernesto.
All "Inspired By..." Series Bracelets come with a card that identifies the symbolism of the charms and colors used.
