Isolde thinks she is carrying out an act of revenge upon her nemesis Tristan; She will get herself out of an unwanted marriage by killing herself as a bonus. But, handmaid Brangane - through fear, nerves or accident has swapped the poison for a love potion. One sip and BAM! "Tristan!", "Isolde!"... an unstoppable, dangerous and tragic love commences.
The Sword: Tristan invites Isolde to satisfy her anger by slaying him with his sword.

I chose deep red and wine colored beads with droplets and hearts to symbolize the fateful drink which is described in some versions as being mistaken for wine. As well, these colors represent passion which is the main emotion I associate with this tale...
