The Wintersturme Bracelet celebrates the love song in Act 1 of Richard Wagner's opera Die Walkure. Siegmund and Sieglinde fall in love on the magical full moon night joining winter to spring. Siegmund discovers his destiny: the sacred sword Nothung thrust into the tree that grows through his enemy’s house. The lovers shockingly realize they are twins separated by a violent raid as children. Heedless of this Siegmund declares the blood of the Walsungs will blossom through their love.
Deep blue seed and faceted beads, glass hearts and crystals evoke the final night of winter. The last vestiges of snow are symbolized by tiny clear crystals. The luminous sea opal bead represents the full moon while tiny heart and star beads further bring to mind the magical night of love and realization. Iridescent flowers and touches of spring green bring to mind the blossoming of spring. Charms on the bracelet include Nothung the sword and the great tree from which Siegmund pulls it; Entwined hearts symbolize the reunited yet tragically destined twins.
All "Inspired By..." Series Bracelets come with a card that identifies the symbolism of the charms and colors used.
